and wrote Three reasons:1 Destruction of public education which will threaten access to those who most need it; 2continued destruction (charter movement started it) of crucial neighborhood based institutions that serve as community based assets (after school programs targeted to nearby residents young and old with less local accountability; 3schools become islands unto themselves, competitors, envoking a capitalist model which will effectively transfer public dollars into private entities..some of those dollars will certainly flow OUT of the city.

and wrote Prior to the illegal take over of the predominately Hamite/black Public school system, the Catholic Church Schools were going into bankruptcy, and many Catholic Schools and churches were closing in the state of Louisiana, and particularly, in New Orleans. By initiating the Voucher System, it will allow the Catholic Schools to re-establish itself, particularly since many parents are not satisfied with the so-called RSD system, and are transferring their children to the Catholic System, even though they are predominately Baptist people. This is harmful to their children because they will be bomb barded with white false idols of Jesus, that will have a negative psychological effect. Therefore, I am AGAINST SCHOOL VOUCHERS.

and wrote this is just a way to subsidize private education with public tax dollars....where were they when my parents paid for me to go to school, where were they when i paid for my child to go to school???

and wrote I am a middle class parent of a private school student who struggles to pay bills and my son's tuition. I wish I could obtain a voucher for my son to attend private school. Every parent should have an option of what type of school their kids should attend. Too many of the public schools have failed the students & parents. Not just the teachers but the School Boards especially. Let parents have a choice and allow our kids the opporunity to succeed.
